Starting from today, February 6th, Cal Poly Pomona's residence halls are in a three-week long competition against each others and other universities nationwide to see who can reduce the most energy and water usage. Residents are reminded to turn off their lights and take a shorter shower in order to surpass our previous success last year with a total saving of 10,700 kWh and at the same time placing first out of all California participants! It is that time again, the 8th annual 2012 Energy Efficiency Summit! On January 28-30, Green Campus interns from 16 different universities and colleges are gathered together to discuss about sustainability, promote energy efficiency, and tackle major environmental issues. At the conclusion of the Campus Conservation Nationals, Cal Poly Pomona took 15th in the national energy competition against 40 other universities.
